To the Outdoor Market We Go!

(Mango blouse, Porter Grey skirt, Matt Bernson shoes, Rebecca Minkoff bag)

I don't know what I would have done without Gabrielle, Jenni, and Poppy! Miss them already!

So yes, there is definitely much more goodness to my trip to Israel. This evening, we navigated our way to the outdoor market, on the look out for some amazing "I HAVE TO TAKE THIS HOME" baubles. We met some interesting characters along the way, like that dude standing by his store window. How adorable is he? He almost...yes, ALMOST, got me to buy a really hideous velvet scarf (which I thought was totally cute, though Gabbi convinced me looked more like a carpet) for 70 sheks. Ummm, no thank you! But I did end up scoring a really rad silver potion necklace. I have no idea where this guy gets his stuff, but his store was an absolute treasure trove. He probably hated the idea of these foreign girls roaming around his store, oohing and aahing over just about everything in sight. But he did happily smile for photos at the end of our shopping spree...probably because he had about 80 quid in his pockets. Yes, my friend decided to buy the scary troll doll along with some other trinkets that we still believe are haunted. But really all that mattered is that we got our souvenirs! By the way, my friends are total babes, agreed? What I noticed was how effortless their style was. All of their looks were just so easily thrown together. I loved photographing them with my new lens!

TLVFW: Dorit Bar Or and Dorin Frankfurt shows!

Dorit Bar Or show: Sequins, high collars, and flowing skirts. I could wear this day to night...

Dorin Frankfurt show: the head crowns added a little something special extra to the simple, chic looks. I love the rich hues like violet, cranberry, and navy blue mixed with the pastels!

NEW IN: The Alex & Eli "Natalie" Holiday Blazer!

    THE DESIGN PROCESS:

So here we have it: The "Natalie" Alex & Eli holiday blazer! Collaborating with the NYC designers felt only natural as I'm a huge tailor freak and I love blazers, trousers, and blouses. After our tailor session, Anna, Aja, and I got right to work in the garment district. We chose the classic Alex & Eli cut: a slim, slightly longer fit. With the tailor, we got the pieces all laid out. Yes, those pieces of paper represent each piece of the blazer with measurements from the shoulders down to the arms! Getting to work right in the design studio really opened my eyes to the world of designing and already, I'm in love with the whole process! After having the blazer cut and put together, our seamstress hand sewed the final touches to the blazer, like the silky buttons. To add a few personal quirks to the blazer, we will have a little horse charm attached to the lapel (I have a weird love for horses) as well as the quote "On Duty!" sewn inside the blazer. Talk about charming! I wear this blazer soo much now. It's just perfect for everyday and it always looks classic and chic. After all the hard work, I'm excited to show the stellar result!!

    END RESULT:

Once ordered, it's sent to the tailors right here in NYC to be custom-made for you!
