Blazer: Ramona West Vintage, Tights: We Love Colors

Bring on the Prepsterness! I've grown to love the colored tights over at We Love Colors, especially in this dark "Charcoal" hue. I felt like wearing them with nothing but a big, boxy, double-breasted blazer from Ramona West, as a dress. As well as the hugest ring I could find in my jewelry dish. Super simple.

And man, I think I sneezed about a gazillion times this past week! It's been windy, and I think the weather change has got my sinuses all effed up. And of course, I was shooting in Orange County a few times this week. . . thank you Santa Ana winds! So yes, this week consisted of photoshoots and now that I have a free day, I'm thinking of hitting the movies!! Excited, Excited. I must see The Runaways!

Blazer and Belt: Vintage, Silk Tank: Bebe, Shorts: Ann Taylor

The beautiful weather has got me pulling out all sorts of Spring colors from pastel blues to pretty pinks. They really pop in these photos! And I've never found mixing textures and patterns wrong, so I went with my pinstriped blazer and tweed tailored shorts. This time of year has always been my favorite! Here's a collage of some of my favorite photos that will give you that pastel-fix I'm sure you've been craving!

Jeans: Hudson Jeans (Baby Boot), Blouse: Vintage, Shoes: Banana Republic

I feel so Anne of Green Gables with a modern twist. My vintage blouse definitely would be Anne approved! I clearly remember her love of anything satin and frilly. Paired it with my new Hudson Jeans in the Baby Boot style! I love the flap back pockets and slim fit. Did I mention they are super super soft and probably make anyone's butt look amazing? I'm head over heels in love with them. Thanks again to Hudson for sending them on over!

But seriously, ever since I stumbled upon the novel Anne of Green Gables last week, I knew I had to read it again. I have once again been sucked into her world filled with beautiful natural surroundings. I've grown to love her "kindred spirit" despite her flaws. I'd transport to Green Gables right now if I could...

    Jumpsuit: Mango, Shoes: Via Spiga

I scored this MNG jumpsuit during my stay in Malaysia. I love it's slouchy, trouser-y feel. A blouse and trouser thrown into one. It's easy, I like pieces that are just throw it on and go go go. Coolness guaranteed. I'm loving Jade Green nails as well. It's sort of an instant mood lifter too lol! And thank you Canon for giving me some clear, crisp snapshots :)) Still trying to get a hang of the darn thing! I hope everyone is having an awesome week so far. I've just been driving all over the place, hitting traffic, and getting back to reading more novels in my down time. It's hot and sunny here, perfect "reading on the porch" weather!

Anywhoooo, here are two awesome illustrations sent to me by two really amazing artists. It must have taken so much time and effort. I really, really appreciate it girls, thank you!

This one is illustrated by Carmo, blogger and artist of Carmo Avant Chanel! Hailing all the way from Lisbon, she shows some raw, natural talent by getting down even the smallest details on paper!

Annnddd the picture below was illustrated by Jessi Attenborough from the Netherlands! Visit her Blog as well as Photography! She has an incredible eye and captures images in such a way that leaves a bit to the imagination while still getting the message across. Plus, the girl can draw!!

My love for the Alexander Wang braid continues. I've been wearing this messy side braid whenever I have some down time. I'm beginning to like it more than the messy bun I usually sport around the house. My sister and I were playing around with our Canon SLR today and we got a few simple shots we loved!

Wren!

Dress: Wren, Blazer: Ramona West Vintage
I'm currently coveting my new Wren dress. I've had a love for Melissa Coker's designs ever since walking in one of her very first fashion presentations. Her designs are just my style, so when I heard she was sending me a piece, I knew I would love it. It's got an amazing fit, black lace, and cool zipper detail. Pretty much perfection. Wren's flirty, fun dresses are beautiful, yet still have a little edge. It's no wonder It-girls Alexa Chung, Harley-Viera Newton, and Tennessee Thomas hold the spot as Wren campaign models! And like me, are Wren's #1 fans.

Below are some of my favorite Wren looks, perfect for the modern it-girl. Do check out more photos from the Wren lookbooks HERE!

Dries Van Noten Love

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I cannot get enough of the Dries Van Noten fall 2010 collection! It has this vintage and sophisticated vibe that has got me obsessed! I love the classic shapes in nudes, blacks, and grays created with luxurious fabrics. Pieces that will last a lifetime and never, ever go out of style. Not to mention those round sunnies which I'm totally lusting over! They really made the looks that much more perfect. All I can say is, every girl walking down that runway looked like the coolest girl in town.

Leather Pants: Zara, Blazer: Promod, Shirt: from Malaysia, Booties: Stefane Kelian

I've been on the lookout for leather pants and finally found the perfect pair over at Zara. Ever since I've been back from overseas, I've been finding the time to throw these bad boys on. Soft, supple leather, perfect for everday wear. Paired them with a blazer I got while in Kuala Lumpur. Found it at a really cool store called Promod that we don't have at the States. I love the structured shoulders look so much! So basically, this is my go-to look when I have no care to sift through my drawers! And I had to throw on the bracelets I bought from the Balinese during my stay in Indonesia. The Balinese women showered them with good luck before giving them to me. Spirtual healing indeed!

She Comes Out at Night

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

One of my all time favorite shows from Fashion Week was Proenza Schouler. I loved the dark sheer accents on the clothing along with the dark purple, almost black, lipstick that really contrasted with the models skin tone. Exactly what a girl who only comes out at night would look like. Dark, mysterious, but oh so cool.

Speaking of a girl who would only come out at night! Here's a candid of me, shot by photographer Rj Shaughnessy. This photo was taken before I left for holiday in Asia.Cannot believe how pale I was. I have a feeling my slight tan from my recent vacation will be fading. Anywho, I'm kinda diggin the vampy result of my portrait. Now I just need some of that Proenza Schouler lipstick and run out into the night.
